How PicFixer Reduces Image File Size
The selected image is read by your browser and drawn onto an HTML5 Canvas. For formats that support quality-based encoding, PicFixer tests different quality values and checks the resulting file size. If the requested maximum size cannot be reached at the selected dimensions, the tool can progressively reduce the dimensions and try again.
The selected KB value is a maximum target, not a guarantee of an exact byte-for-byte file size. Different images can produce different file sizes even when their dimensions are identical.

- JPG/JPEG: Usually suitable for photographs and scanned documents when a smaller file size is required.
